Severe Weather Hits Georgia, Issuing Multiple Warnings

Tornado Warnings Issued for Multiple Counties

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Butts, Clayton, Coweta, Fayette, Henry, and Spalding counties until 7 pm. A separate warning has been issued for Butts, Clayton, Coweta, Fayette, Heard, Henry, Meriwether, Pike, Spalding, and Troup. Additionally, a warning has been issued for Southern Cherokee County, Northwestern DeKalb County, and Southwestern Forsyth County.

The National Weather Service has urged residents to seek shelter immediately. They should move to an interior room on the lowest floor of their building and stay away from windows.

Memorial Day Weekend Brings Severe Weather Across the Nation
